How-To: ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini — Which AI Should You Use?
All three are excellent, and "which is best?" is the wrong question. The right question is: which is best for this task? Here's a decision guide, not a feature dump.

Pricing and features move fast — treat the table as a snapshot, and verify on each vendor's site before deciding on a subscription.

- •Image generation via built-in DALL-E — describe what you want and it drafts and iterates inline.
- •Custom GPTs — pre-built or self-built assistants with tools and instructions packaged for reuse.
- •Coding, especially with the integrated code interpreter and the ability to run and inspect code.

Step 3. — Claude is best for
- •Long documents — contracts, research papers, manuals — thanks to its large and capable context window.

- •Google integration — pull from and act on Docs, Drive, Gmail, and Calendar when you're signed in.
- •Fast responses — Gemini replies are typically quick, useful for back-and-forth Q&A.
- •Generous free tier — more free capability than the other two for casual users.
- •Multimodal — it handles images and video natively, useful for describing or summarising visual content.
